The Clacton Dialysis Unit opened in 2016 as a nurse-led satellite dialysis unit of Colchester Dialysis Unit. Diaverum operates the service on behalf of the East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The 8-station dialysis station is spacious and accessible, providing dialysis in a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Complimentary onsite parking is available for patients’ convenience.

During dialysis, patients are served light refreshment as they watch TV, read or use the internet via our complimentary patient Wi-Fi. We also play light games and celebrate important dates and social events including birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, charity, seasonal and national events with patients. Entertainment is provided via TV screens, reading materials and light games. Complimentary Wi-Fi enables patients to connect their devices to the internet while on dialysis. You will be served light refreshment while on dialysis. However, you are free to bring your own snack. We celebrate important dates and social events including birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, charity, seasonal and national events with patients.

Clacton Dialysis Unit is open Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sunday, Christmas and New Year Days.

About Clacton-on-Sea: Clacton–on–sea is about 30 minutes drive from Colchester. Clacton is a popular seaside town with long sandy beaches and seafront gardens. Most famous for the 19th century Clacton Pier, which has nineteen fairground rides, some of which are undercover. Six and a half acres of pier sits out over the North Sea, flanked by 7 miles of beaches. Other attractions include the cliff top Holland Haven Country Park, unspoilt coastal grazing marshes with footpaths through meadows.
